Simple And Delicious Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork
Clint Cantwell has created a crock pot recipe for easy and tasty pulled pork sandwiches. With a quick prep time of ten minutes, and a cooking time of seven hours, this meal can easily be started before the day’s drive or the start of an all-day adventure and be ready when you are ready for dinner.

With just a few staples and a few preparations, this meal can be in the crock pot and ready to cook in a few minutes. In addition to combining most ingredients in a mixing bowl, the excess fat should be cut from the pork butt and then lightly coated with mayo and some of the BBQ dry rub. Slice off the sides of the apples and use the remaining apples as a base stand in the bottom of your crock pot as a way to keep the pork out of the braising liquid. Let all that cook, then shred the meat, sandwich it and enjoy!
Ingredients
Braising Liquid
- 1.5 cups of chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons your favorite store-bought BBQ sauce, preferably one with liquid smoke as an ingredient like KC Masterpiece Hickory Brown Sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon your favorite store-bought BBQ dry rub
Pork Butt
- 1 bone-in pork butt (approximately 8-9 pounds)
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of favorite BBQ dry rub
- 5 apples
