2021 Thor Motor Coach Compass 23TE 23' Class B+ Motorhome. Ford Transit AWD Gasoline Engine. Slide Out, Awning, Sleeps 2, A/C Unit.
Travel anywhere with ease and in comfort in this pristine 2021 AWD Thor Compass 23 TE. With its gorgeous interior, abundant indoor and outdoor storage, multiple conveniences (oh, the cupholder count! The places to charge your phone!), notable safety features, very low miles, and Ford transit chassis, if you‘re at all like us, you‘ll still be discovering cool things months after acquisition.
When we bought it, we knew we wanted a smaller RV. It HAD to be easy to back up and park (the back up camera is clear and vividly tells you whether you‘re approaching any objects); it HAD to have solar, an outdoor shower, a Murphy bed, and decent mileage. And it couldn‘t break the bank. We got everything we wanted - and then some. I felt like I was driving my mini Cooper because it maneuvers so well, and has such great visibility and quick acceleration. It climbs hills easily and passes slower vehicles effortlessly. And the dashboard has a display that tells you if you‘re straying from your lane because you‘re gawking at the scenery through windows designed to let you do just that. There‘s also a built in tire pressure monitor in the dash for peace of mind.
The light and bright neutral toned interior is enhanced by a large skylight over the cab. No bed up there: this is NOT your father‘s camper. The Murphy bed contained in the one slide out, removable dining table, retractable huge TV, and comfortable cab chairs that swivel toward the living area, work together so you can configure the living space how you want it. For example, the counter space expands significantly when the tv is retracted under the counter, but if catching up on your favorite tv shows is the order of the day, the couch and dining table beckon.
The aesthetics of the coach‘s interior extend to the bathroom, as does the emphasis on adequate storage. There‘s tons of space, and the cabinetry here - and throughout - is sturdy and functional. The shower is big enough so that the shower curtain doesn‘t attack you.
In the kitchen you‘ll find a refrigerator that holds an impressive amount of food and drink, and a microwave with a convection feature. Of course there‘s air conditioning, but we found that with windows open, the 2 pretty powerful ceiling fans going, the screen door open to the outdoors, and the generously sized awning extended, we never needed to turn it on.
We took only 3 short trips in the RV, so it still has that new car smell. The odometer is at 2160. The warranty on the Ford truck transfers. The required maintenance to make sure everything stays tip top was performed as scheduled this spring, and the unit has a current inspection sticker. Today someone stopped me at the gas station to tell me how sharp it looks.
There‘s a lot of fun and adventure to be had out there, and maybe this vehicle is the one that will get you there!
